The purpose of this project was to contact local, state, and national news organizations to gather information about their corrections policies. Questions to be addressed included: did they have a written policy; if there is a written policy, obtain a copy; if there is no written policy, how do they address requests for corrections; is there a way to request corrections through the organization’s website; where are corrections, when necessary, located within the news source; and was it easy to gain information about corrections? In addition to this primary project purpose, this team had a second assignment to gather and present a summary of the other project’s progress.
