For this project, the team was to select an election issue of interest to them, follow the coverage of it in the media, and fact check the coverage. Initially the team planned to focus on coverage of same-sex marriage. However, there was not enough media coverage on this topic so they decided to focus on coverage of medical care. The team split up the different media formats with Laila looking at newspaper coverage, Elise looking at blogs, and Sabrina looking at online media and social media.
